Ireland: Day 4 – cliffs of moher
28 February 2010 by Andy • No Commentsday 4 consisted of more driving, of course, but we were able to save a lot of time taking the Shannon Ferry from Tarbert to Killimer over the mouth of the Shannon River…we had some pretty crazy weather this day as we woke up to snow, had hail coming down before getting on the ferry, sunshine all afternoon, and then rain later that night
however, the dark clouds and the sporadic sun created some great lighting…
finally, we ended up spending a lot of time in and around the farmhouse we were staying at that night because it was absolutely incredible….they had an amazing view of the ocean and were only a 5 minute drive from the Cliffs of Moher….oh yeah, and they only had a castle behind their house too. no big deal
it was actually pretty cool getting shots of the castle at a couple different times during the day…each one had a different feel because the available light had changed so drastically….i liked that about this country. it always seemed to be doing that
and finally we ended the night watching the boys drag the donkeys around…much to no avail
- i didn’t understand this sign at all….are the attached head people attacking the floating head family?
- the cliffs from far away along the beach
- on top of the cliffs….so beautiful
- please no car diving!
