I first got to know Madeline because she was a bridesmaid in a wedding of some really good friends, Tyler and Lindsey, whose wedding I had shot the previous year. I was excited when she reached out to also serve her and her fiancé Jake for their upcoming wedding day. I love when I have the opportunity to serve multiple couples within the same friend group because you get to build on those relationships and there’s a comfort level and trust that builds on both sides. Plus Madeline and Jake are just awesome people who were very clearly in love and pumped for their wedding day!
Madeline and Jake had a beautiful wedding at Brick and Ivey in downtown Marietta, GA. Thankfully the weather held out so we could also take advantage of some of the outdoor spaces. Also, make sure to not miss the first “first look”. Jake obviously had no idea but his best man not only wore a white dress and veil but also “iced” Jake in the process. Definitely one of the funniest moments I’ve experienced at a wedding as a photographer. And then Madeline also got her shot at it when she “iced” Jake during the garter toss – it was hilarious!
