Sam and Hayes were one of the most laid back and fun couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of serving. I mean, they even had a charcuterie board and some beers already out for us to enjoy when I showed up at a family lake house for their engagement session! I felt like I was hanging out with old friends more than I was showing up for work. As we started hearing the toasts during their wedding reception, it became more and more clear. This is just who Sam and Hayes are. They are hospitable, they truly care for others whether it’s their family or friends, they love to have fun, and they will do anything for their people. That’s what made this day such a blast – Sam and Hayes are just easy to celebrate because of who they are at their core.
Their wedding day was one of those weather days where you don’t know what to expect. Little spots of rain would just pop up and then go away. It wasn’t necessarily a very predictable line of storms coming through. So as you can imagine, it was very touch and go during the portraits and on whether or not to hold the ceremony outside. When it was almost time for the ceremony to start, all us vendors huddled together and talked through all the options. We looked back and forth between the sky and our weather app radars and finally saw a small 10 minute window where we could fit in an outside ceremony. While it may have sprinkled just a bit, the heavy rain didn’t start falling until guests were making their way over for cocktail hour. It’s always a great feeling when you work with vendors who are truly there to serve what’s best for the couple and help make sure their original vision and desire is able to be executed.
Sam and Hayes – I loved every moment of getting to serve you and your families. Thanks for inviting me in! Also, thanks to the incredible vendor team who are not only crazy talented at what they do, but they are some of the best people in the business to work alongside!
