This was definitely one of those sessions where everything comes together at the right time. From the sunlight peeking around every corner, to the fog gently lifting off the surface of the Chattahoochee River, to cruising through the shade cast by an island in a canoe to provide the softest light, I had an absolute blast with Dan and Jackie.
Jackie had a very specific vision for one of the photos and I’m so glad we were able to create that for her and Dan. Jackie would cross over the Chattahoochee every morning for a season of her life and she loved seeing the fog that would be present and she wanted to try and capture that during the engagement session. We got pretty lucky with not only having a humid morning in late fall to help produce the fog, but this killer sunrise came shining through from behind a tree to cast the most amazing shadows, light rays, and reflections. We then headed out on Lake Lanier in the canoe they provided and my kayak and made way for an island I frequent to chill out and relax.
I’m so happy with how these images turned out. Thanks Jackie and Dan for trusting me and allowing me to capture this special season of your lives!
