To fully appreciate how special this wedding was for me, you need to go back and check out their engagement shoot. Long story short, Nick is my second cousin who I met for the very first time when I arrived in Charleston for their engagement session. As you can imagine, it was not only amazing to capture their wedding day but also to share it with some of my family.
Nick and Karilyn married at Boone Hall Plantation which was absolutely stunning. It created the perfect backdrop from the old estate home, to the tree canopy that welcomes you upon entering, to the waterfront barn where they held their reception.
Thanks Nick and Karilyn for allowing me to serve you both during this season and I look forward to seeing you at future family events!
As a fellow Cubs fan, Nick had me bring along my “W” flag so that they could sing the “Go Cubs Go” anthem and celebrate the Cubs first World Series victory since 1908. Obviously I loved this moment.
To wrap up the night, Karilyn had me meet them over in front of the historic Francis Marion Hotel for some portraits. This hotel was special to her since it’s also where her grandparents stayed after their wedding.
