I now know what all the hype is about in Nasvhille – I was absolutely blown away by the deep rooted community and love that I saw at Rachel and Kevin’s wedding. This wedding was unlike any other I’ve shot and it consisted of a sweet, intimate front porch wedding at their home followed by a reception in their backyard. It fit them perfectly as they were surrounded by those closest to them from Nashville as well as from growing up.
Rachel was adopted at a young age in to a loving family full of all brothers! What was so incredible to see was that she was their princess and they adored her. There was so much joy surrounding her as she prepared to marry Kevin, who had his close community as well. He had a whole brotherhood of guys standing at his side to be there for him in the good and bad and who have always been there since their early school years.
Rachel and Kevin met at a local bar in East Nashville called Bar 308 so it was fitting to go and take their portraits there, including some in the very spot where they first talked. For the reception, they brought in Rolling Feast which was hands down some of the best food I’ve ever had from a food truck. It was also great getting to work with Hayley Bidez who is a really talented makeup artist who just moved up to Nashville.
Thanks again Rachel and Kevin for including me in your day and allowing me to capture the joy and community that was so evident!
Here are some of my favorites from their day.
