I’m not even sure where to begin with these two. My wife, Jenica, and I have had the honor and pleasure to walk with Stan and Allie during their engagement season as mentors and friends. Through that process we’ve been able to laugh together, pray with and over them, dive into God’s word, as well and sit with them and stand beside them through some tougher times. Honestly, it’s what we still do and what every married couple should strive for if they want to have a long lasting marriage in today’s culture. It takes a lot of grace, vulnerability, patience, and choosing the other person over yourself every single day.
I knew that creating beautiful images on Stan and Allie’s wedding day would be easy because they are gorgeous humans and I knew it would be one massive celebration. However, the fact there were tears ready to come pouring out throughout most of the day made it a little more difficult.
I’m so incredibly proud to call them close friends and humbled that I would be entrusted by them with their highest moments, lowest moments, and also capturing their wedding day. My favorite moment was being able to close out the time of prayer over the couple during the ceremony as my wife and I surrounded them with their parents, other pastors, and close friends who have poured into their lives.
Thank you Stan and Allie for allowing Jenica and I to serve you, love you, walk with you, sit with you, stand with you, pray over and for you, laugh with you, and live life with you. We love the devotion and tenacity in which you love one another and our prayer is that you continue choosing each other every single day. Love you both!
