My journey of being able to serve Melanie and Jack was probably the craziest of all of my 2020 couples. They were originally scheduled to have their wedding in May at The Fox Theatre and like so many others, they had to push it back. However, through that process, they had to land on a date where I was unfortunately booked. Melanie and Jack did decide to still host an intimate gathering in their backyard and thankfully I was able to make sure they had photos to remember from that gathering, but I was pretty bummed about being booked for their rescheduled date. As I’m sure was the case with many other wedding vendors, the fall of 2020 was basically two busy wedding seasons packed into one.
Well, as covid cases weren’t really getting a ton better, some of my fall couples began pushing to 2021 in hopes of still having all their guests attend and having some sort of normalcy back. So the crazy part is that my original couple for the date Melanie and Jack picked pushed to 2021 which meant I could now serve them again – ha! I’m so grateful for how patient and gracious Melanie and Jack were through the whole process. I knew that everything my 2020 clients were facing wasn’t ideal and I did everything I could to show them I was right there in it with them. It was so nice to see that posture and attitude reciprocated back to me.
Melanie and Jack’s day ended up being perfect and amazing and everything they had hoped for and I’m in love with this first photo you’ll see below. It simply states on the Fox Theatre marque, “You Can’t Cancel Love”. Not only was this the perfect slogan for them, but a banner slogan over all couples facing similar situations. Plans changed, guest counts were cut, people watched via FaceTime or other steaming services, but love wasn’t going to be cancelled.
