I think it’s safe to say that none of us have ever experienced anything like we are collectively going through with the Covid-19 pandemic. While everyone has been affected personally and many professionally, it’s safe to say that the wedding industry was affected hard and fast. While I received email after email with cancellation and postponement plans, my heart absolutely broke for my clients. However, many also found a way forward and I did my best to help serve them.
I loved seeing the perseverance, strength and creativity of my clients, and some new clients, as they made a new path forward. Some of my clients postponed for a later date, others cancelled their original plans and chose to have a simple ceremony with just a few people, and others chose to postpone their original plans but still actually get married on their original date even though it would look a lot different. Whether it was a wedding inside a mostly empty sanctuary with the sounds of the Blue Angels soaring through the sky overhead to honor healthcare workers, to an elopement on top of a mountain days before a shelter-in-place order, to an intimate front porch ceremony being live streamed to friends and family, or a backyard wedding with the father-of-the-bride walking his daughter down the aisle over FaceTime, it has been an honor to witness and document this season.
All of this to say, if you are still in a position of rethinking your wedding day that was set to take place this summer or you desire for your future wedding to maybe look a lot different than you originally intended, I’m happy to help walk alongside you and create a custom fit photography package that serves your budget and needs.
Here’s a collection of some of the images I’ve captured from the weddings I described above. Thank you to the clients who trusted me to document these moments!
