Catherine and Robby were not going to let a global pandemic ruin the moment of the two of them becoming one. While I’m sure they would have loved to celebrate with all of their friends and family on their original date, the escalating situation led them to get creative. Before a shelter-in-place order was handed down in Georgia, they decided to elope to a small park east of Atlanta called Arabia Mountain.

Over the last year or so, I’ve gotten to know Catherine and Robby really well. They both went through my Photography Mentorship program and we spent a weekend together along with my family in North Carolina for their destination engagement session. I actually helped Robby pull off the proposal as well and shot it during one of our hands on teaching sessions so that it would catch Catherine by surprise.

I was so excited when they reached out about being their wedding photographer and did everything I could to help make sure their elopement day was amazing. My heart has been so heavy for all my friends and clients impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and was so happy to see Catherine and Robby handle the entire situation with grace and perseverance.

Catherine and Robby – thanks for letting me play a small part in this season of your lives. I had a blast capturing this for you!
