Seth and Patricia had the right idea when they chose to close out 2017 and walk into 2018 by becoming Mr. and Mrs. and held their New Years Eve wedding at Little River Farms in Alpharetta.
It was such a joy to serve both of them during this season of their lives, especially because I’ve known Seth for 14 years of my life! Crazy, right? Well way back between my sophomore and junior year of college, I left my home state of Illinois to intern for a church outside of Atlanta. As the church searched for a host family for me, word got out to Seth’s parents that I was a student at Judson College which just happened to be where they also attended. So, they said yes and I lived in their basement for a summer. What’s so cool is that Seth is now pursuing his dream of becoming a pro golfer and I remember him hitting golf balls over and over and over into a net in another room in the basement. I think it’s paying off!
Since Seth and I have known each other for so long, there was a real comfort level and trust when it came time to help him pull off the proposal. So, after many emails, phone calls, and coordinating with one of Patricia’s closest friends, I hid outside of the restaurant Canoe and waited for them to come outside. Thankfully we pulled everything off and Patricia, a former Miss Georgia which is pretty cool and something she’s super humble about, loved the images and they wanted me to capture their wedding day as well.
Everything about their wedding day was perfect and completely them from the elegant dress that Patricia wore to the golf tees engraved with their names and wedding date. It also stayed just barely warm enough for us to take advantage of the beautiful overcast sky light outside and create some great images together.
Thank you Seth and Patricia for trusting me to serve you both from the proposal to the wedding day exit. You guys are two of the best and I know will do incredible things together as you love each other and serve those around you!
