As we all know, a lot of plans changed in 2020, especially in the wedding industry. However, Kelly had a very important reason to stick to her original date, even if that meant her and Ian’s special day looked a little different than they had planed. You see, their wedding date was also her grandparents wedding date…from 56 years ago! And not only that, but Kelly and Ian shared their vows in the exact same church, Second Ponce De Leon Baptist Church, that her grandparents did all that time ago. Kelly’s uncle, her grandparent’s son, was also the officiant for the ceremony. It was so cool to see all the moments in which they could tie in their special day to the legacy and anniversary of her grandparents. I’m grateful I could help capture this day and tell this story that I’m sure will be shared for generations.
