Even though I’ve shot a number of weddings in Charleston, this was my first time shooting a Legare Waring House wedding. What made it even better is seeing how that venue seemed to be a perfect match for Alyssa and Garrett and their vision for their wedding day. Despite a heat index of 105 degrees, they both powered through and we were able to take advantage of the stunning property.
Personally I had a blast as well because I’ve known Alyssa and a group of her friends since they were all in middle school. As a former student pastor, I got to watch them grow up through high school and even went on a mission trip to Panama with Alyssa when she was in high school. It was such a fun reunion seeing many of her friends at the wedding.
Thank you Alyssa and Garrett for allowing me to capture these days for you. I loved serving you and your families and getting to see how great you both are for one another!

This year brought more destination weddings which was fun because I was able to capture more rehearsal dinners. Those moments allowed me to get to know everyone who is closest to the couple a lot better as well as shoot some mini sessions.
